To Do:

  • Buy camera and cards (Canon SD800's with 2GB SD cards plus an SD->USB converter)
  • Set up photo storage site (Flickr, Photobucket?, Picasa?) (Flickr it is, site is, naturally http://www.flickr.com/photos/ramblingrovers/)
  • Business cards/calling cards? (Picked proper up die-cut (not microperf) printable ones from Office Depot. If we'd had more time we would have used VistaPrint.)
  • Docs & papers in online backups
  • Train passes (Bought 2-month Global second-class passes through RailEurope)
  • Preprinted address stickers (Bought at Office Depot, I think they'll work)
  • Country specific books (PST took care of these. We'll be cutting out all the relevant pages and leaving the husk behind.)
  • Tradeable items (Travel Catastrophe Bingo (TM) and the calling cards. Might also get California-ish if we can find it)
  • Tradeable scout paraphernalia for Kandersteg -- BVC Patch?
  • Compass (Eagle Scouts know which way is up!)
  • Corkscrew (Nothing ruins suave like asking for help opening your Chateauneuf du Pape)
  • Fix/update map
  • Change phone messages

  • Ryan says "Whenever you're in an eastern bloc country, make sure to pick up a 'SPY' map." (Don't say "Eastern Block Country"...it reminds me of a 6 month problem I once had. ~PNT)
